For 75 years, we have always focused on quality, innovation and partnership. In response to the individual requirements of our customers, the teams of experts at Lödige Industries develop solutions ranging from elevators to complex material flow systems that occupy a leading position worldwide.

75 years of innovation
Lödige Industries has been developing material handling solutions for 75 years. From its beginnings, the production of hand pallet trucks, the company founded by graduate engineer Alois Lödige in 1948 has developed steadily and is now one of the world's leading suppliers of modern logistics systems, lift solutions and automatic parking technology. Our long history of delivering reliable solutions is rooted in our focus on our customers’ needs. Innovating to find new and more efficient solutions to our customers heavy lifting and conveying issues, is what we do.
In-house production in Germany and Romania – quality inside
Since the mid-1960s, our machines and systems have been produced at the Scherfede site, using today 100 percent renewable energy. This is made possible by our own hydroelectric power plant, which was already in place in the 1960s, and modern solar systems installed in 2020. Around 1.2 million kilowatt hours of green electricity are generated annually. Since this exceeds our own needs, about 40 per cent is fed into the public grid. Since 2006, a second location in Brasov, Romania, has also been expanding production capacities. Due to increasing demand, this location is to be significantly enlarged this year.
Sustainability is a matter of the heart
Sustainability plays a major role not only in production. Our production facility in Scherfede is idyllically located and offers our employees the opportunity to take breaks for a walk in the countryside. A respectful and sustainable approach to our environment has been part of our DNA from the very beginning.
